The Way of Sorrows The Angelus Trilogy Part 3 Jon Steele 9780399171499 Books
This was a WONDERFUL completion to the Angelus Trilogy. Jon Steele is an AMAZING author and I am so sad there's nothing more to read about these characters…I would HIGHLY encourage readers to read the trilogy in order, as the third book brings everything together and answers questions readers may not have even realized they had along the way. I wanted to devour this book when it finally came out but then as I began reading it I wanted to somehow stretch it and savor it as long as possible because I did not want it to end. I LOVE this trilogy!! It would make an INCREDIBLE movie!!!

The Angelus Trilogy is a wonderfully written, thought provoking, spiritual experience. Read them all.
I have anticipated this book with wonder as to how Mr. Steele would conclude this trilogy. I devoured this book. Now I am going to have to reread it again to catch the nuances I might have missed in my haste. Don't read this book first. Read The Watchers, then Angel City before this book. This trilogy is an excellent read. The author brings the players in this book to life with such realism you believe you can feel their pain, joy and happiness. I wish Mr. Steele would continue the series. I will miss reading about the adventures of Mark, Jay, and Kat. This trilogy is very thought provoking and may change the way you look at life.
As the final book in the trilogy The Way of Sorrows was well done. I would recommend reading them all together one after another. The wait between books was long enough to make the reader forget just what was happening and who the players were from book to book. I like the way Jon Steele thinks and the sources he uses for his books. If one has to live through "The End of Days" it's better to be a "local" and not know what exactly is happening.
This book was the third in the trilogy series of the angels of light (Watchers) versus the angels of darkness. If you like ancient history, reincarnation, demons, and a protagonist who is a chain smoker with his own personal stash that helps him stay stronger. This book will more than hold your interest. Excellent escapism mixed with history.
The Way of Sorrows is a riveting and emotional conclusion to a splendid trilogy. I love Mr. Steele's writing and he makes you feel everything that is going on. You must read The Watchers and then Angel City first to get yourself immersed in this story. You won't regret this journey. It has many nuances and storylines that finally come together and make for a thrilling final book. Read slowly and savor it. I finished it with happy tears in my eyes. Thank you, Mr. Steele.
Very interesting and satisfying end to the trilogy. It all came together quite nicely. My only tiny complaint is that the ending clash seems to have been written specifically to become a movie. I hope the series does make it as a movie. However, that scene appears to be actual directions for staging. Philosophically, the trilogy is appealing and well thought out. Except for the "goons", who are a little overdrawn, I could accept this as a possible scenario for the real fight between good and evil. Thanks to Mr. Steele for a very good read.
The author put a story in three volumes that he could have put in one. He strings out the details of events until they become boring. The idea of the book is lost in the details. The details even obscure the proposition of the book. I read and reread parts of the book and still couldn't understand what was going on. Perhaps the author was trying to be mysterious but I thought he was just being obscure.
